In this course I was able
to gain a more in depth understanding of many topics I had previously been
exposed to. In terms of the use of Google Docs, I am the campus trainer so I
don’t feel that I have increased in this area. It simply gave
me an opportunity to utilize my skills with people outside of my campus. I was
able to find many new Web 2.0 tools that are available. It always excites me to
find new free web tools. I am extremely interested in Live Binders and
utilizing it for my campus department. For project based learning, I was able
to locate more web resources and sample lessons that I can use in my subject
area. The idea of a flipped classroom is something I have been considering for
quite some time and the knowledge gained in this course has put me one step
closer to implementation. For the most part, I am already implementing or am
now ready to implement these innovative classroom ideas to help get students
engaged.
I have completed most of my
Campus-Supervised Internship Activities and have already reached the 150 hours.
Many of the activities I am lacking require meeting with outside district personal
such as the transportation director. I intend to complete these meetings at the
beginning of the school year via e-mail or web conference.
In terms of my action
research project, I have completed the actual project and need to work on the
written paper. I am planning to work on that next week before returning to
school for teacher prep week.
